Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia expresses gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan for the country's neutral and balanced policy regarding the Ukrainian crisis. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the heads of the world's news agencies, organized by TASS.

The Russian President noted that Russia appreciates President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for maintaining a clearly neutral and very balanced stance on the Ukraine issue.

Putin indicated that the topic of Ukraine was also discussed during his visit to Uzbekistan. It should be recalled that Vladimir Putin visited Tashkent on a state visit at the end of May 2024.

He emphasized that President Mirziyoyev actively advocates for a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis and has repeatedly expressed Uzbekistan's concern about the events unfolding in Ukraine.
