Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law amending the Criminal Procedure Code.
Under the new provisions, the Code will include a chapter regulating the recognition and enforcement of court decisions from foreign states, as well as the procedure for the acceptance and transfer of convicted individuals sentenced to imprisonment for further serving their sentences.
This also applies to individuals who have been subject to compulsory medical measures.
Additionally, the law establishes the grounds for the acceptance and transfer of convicted individuals or those who have undergone compulsory medical measures, as well as the procedural status of participants in the legal process.
The law will come into effect upon its official publication.
