Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 October, the Minister of Information Technology and Communications Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shukhrat Sadikov, met with the Secretary General of the Center for Strategic Cooperation of the Research Institute of the Chinese company Alibaba Group, Mr. Xin CHENG, in the IT Park.

The main purpose of the meeting is to discuss the expansion of cooperation with large Chinese companies.

The parties expressed great interest in mutual cooperation, exchanged views and plans for further cooperation. During the meeting, they discussed such important and promising areas of cooperation as the development of electronic commerce, the creation of an online b2b platform (marketplace), as well as the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the field of information technology.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to conduct relevant work on the exchange of experience and cooperation on the creation of data storage and processing centers in Uzbekistan.
