Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 October, the Wyndham Tashkent Hotel hosted a conference on "Prospects for the development of arbitration institutions", organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (Germany).

The purpose of the event is to improve the activities of the institutions of arbitration courts in the Republic of Uzbekistan, to familiarize their decisions with the system and optimize the execution process on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as in foreign countries.

At the event, the First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Islam Jasimov, as well as a researcher at the Regional Branch of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Central Asia, Aziz Tatibaev, made an opening speech, where they highlighted the changes taking place in the judicial system of the Republic of Uzbekistan in recent years. They also gave a positive assessment of the activities of 15 arbitration courts established under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

It should be noted that in order to implement the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Arbitration Courts”, “On the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and improve the system for creating a favorable climate and legal support for entrepreneurs, an arbitration court was established in 2007 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Chairman of the Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sherzod Sattorov spoke at the event and emphasized that arbitration courts operate on the principles of speed, reliability, economy and professionalism. As an example, he cited the fact that in the 3rd quarter of this year, more than 500 arbitration cases and that, in general, economic disputes that arose between entrepreneurs were resolved.

In addition, at the meeting, held in the form of an open dialogue, the legal status of the legislation governing arbitration, the interaction of arbitration courts with competent courts, the recognition and enforcement of decisions of arbitration courts in Uzbekistan and abroad, as well as expert opinions on financing the activities of arbitration courts were discussed. third parties.
