Prospects for interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Poland were discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the upper house of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a meeting was held between the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate Sodyk Safoev and the parliamentary delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz.

During the dialogue, the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Polish relations were discussed, in particular the issues of expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation, enriching it with new content and intensifying the exchange of experience in the field of lawmaking and parliamentary control.

The guests were informed about the socio-economic transformations being carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at increasing the level and quality of life of the population, improving social infrastructure and ensuring sustainable development of the country.

The Polish side highly appreciated the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan aimed at strengthening the foundations of a democratic state and developing civil society institutions.

During the conversation, the progressive development of the bilateral interparliamentary dialogue was noted with satisfaction. Mutual interest was expressed in intensifying interaction between the legislative bodies of our countries in areas of common interest.

Issues of further development of interregional cooperation, building up trade, economic and investment cooperation were also considered.

It was emphasized that the opening of the direct flight “Warsaw-Tashkent-Warsaw” is a very long-awaited event for the Polish side.

The parties emphasized the significant potential for interaction in the field of tourism. It was noted that the launch of regular flights between the capitals of the two countries will contribute to the growth of business contacts and an increase in mutual tourist flow.
