Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ambassador of Uzbekistan Nodirjon Turgunov held a meeting with the Saudi Minister of Environment, Water Resources, and Agriculture Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in agriculture. Special attention was given to implementing modern agricultural technologies from Saudi companies in Uzbekistan, as well as increasing the volume of Uzbek agricultural exports to Saudi Arabia and improving their quality.

The Uzbek side presented information on the country’s investment potential in agriculture, including the opportunities and state-provided incentives. It was proposed to organize the participation of Uzbek producers in the Saudi Agriculture exhibition, which will take place from October 21 to 24 in Riyadh. This event will allow Uzbek companies to showcase their products, including fresh and dried fruits, honey, and other goods, and explore opportunities to enter the Saudi market.

Minister Al-Fadli supported this initiative, expressing the Saudi side’s readiness to create all necessary conditions for the active participation of Uzbek businesses in the exhibition.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to develop specific steps aimed at strengthening cooperation between the countries and increasing the volume of mutual trade.
