Prospects for expanding Uzbek-Polish cooperation in transport and logistics were discussed in Warsaw

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 June, a meeting took place in Warsaw between a delegation led by Zufar Narzullaev, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Railways, and Dariusz Graidy, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Polish State Railways (PKP S.A.).

According to Dunyo news agency, the meeting was part of the Uzbek delegation’s visit to Poland and aimed at discussing the role of railway transport in enhancing trade and economic relations between the two countries, as well as mutual preferences.

During the negotiations, particular attention was given to the prospects for cooperation after January 1, 2025, when Poland will assume the presidency of the European Union. During this period, there are plans to strengthen trade, economic, and investment cooperation with Central Asian countries, particularly Uzbekistan.

Following the negotiations, the following agreements were reached:

1. Organization of a visit by PKP S.A. delegation to Uzbekistan.

2. Involvement of Polish experts in the transformation and modernization process of Uzbekistan Railways.

3. Development of an investment project for the production of lifting equipment in Uzbekistan jointly with the Polish company "FUD."
