Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 22 November 2024, a meeting was held between representatives of the Export-Import Bank of China delegation, led by Vice President Yang Dong, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Economy and Finance, Jamshid Kuchkorov.
At the beginning of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of the opening of the regional representative office of the China Export-Import Bank in Uzbekistan, which will help establish connections with Central Asia and the Caucasus, as well as implement joint projects. This event is expected to significantly strengthen cooperation between the countries.
During the discussions, the prospects for creating new projects in various economic sectors were addressed, particularly the implementation of “green” projects, the development of agriculture, including the introduction of modern and innovative technologies, and the reconstruction of irrigation channels.
Additionally, the parties exchanged views on the socio-economic reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, ensuring sustainable economic growth, and improving efficiency to achieve the set goals.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to further develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation, as well as expand the areas of partnership.
