The company said prosecutors of Quvasoy city adopted a decision on arrest of the banking accounts of Quvasoycement in the middle of June 2012.

The company said that it had some 45.246 billion soums at the arrested banking accounts.

Quvasoycement is the third largest cement producer of Uzbekistan and it supplies cement to Ferghana Valley of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The plant is part of United Cement Group (Kazakhstan).

United Cement Group also owned Bekabadcement. In 2011, prosecutors of Tashkent region opened a criminal case against management of Bekabadcement on illegal production and export of cement, as well as tax evasion.

In the result, United Cement Group lost control over the plant. It is expected that the State Property Committee will become owner of 51.53% stake of Bekabadcement, which earlier belonged to the Kazakh firm.
