Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with a presentation on the development of trade infrastructure, services, as well as the construction of facilities in the field of culture and tourism in Uzbekistan.

Based on the instructions issued at the previous meeting, projects were considered to effectively use the country’s tourism potential, create new conditions for tourists and increase the number of tourist sites.

Projects include the construction of modern recreation centers in the picturesque areas of Shakhrisabz and Parkent districts, as well as the creation of hostels on the Maydanak plateau.

Particular attention was being paid to revitalizing markets and making them attractive destinations for tourists. The President emphasized the need to preserve the unique features of markets and turn them into “calling cards” of the country. Projects for the construction of market complexes in historical cities were also presented.

In the context of tourism development, the President noted the importance of studying the experience of Türkiye and Arab countries, as well as attracting foreign specialists to the design.

The presentation also touched upon the issue of improving the activities of the Tashkent State Circus, with plans to renovate the building and construct an educational building.

The President gave specific instructions on the refinement and high-quality implementation of the presented projects.
