Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 January, in the city of Bishkek, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan Temir Yollari, a joint Project Office was opened to coordinate the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project.

The purpose of the office is to coordinate joint measures to accelerate the practical implementation of the project.

To date, SE "NC "Kyrgyz temir jolu" and JSC "Uzbekiston temir yullari" are carrying out all the necessary preliminary measures for the construction of the railway "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan".

The first Design and Survey Institute of the China Railway Construction Corporation is working on the development of a feasibility study for the project.

On 14 September 2022, the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Committee for Development and Reforms of the People's Republic of China signed a trilateral Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project.
