On 17-19 November 2012, 70 pairs and 70 boys from Bekabad, Angren, Chinaz, Parkent, Buka, Kibray, Almalyk, Yangiyul, Bostanlik, Zangiota, Chirchiq, Quyichirchiq, Urtachirchiq districts of Tashkent region marked their weddings and sunnat-tuys (circumcision) within the project of Fund Forum, Women’s Council, Mehr Nuri and Social Initiative Support Fund.

So far, some 882 weddings and 1,069 sunnat-tuys were held across Uzbekistan. It is also planned to hold 70 weddings and 138 sunnat tuys in Tashkent city on 21-23 November.

As a tradition, brides received wedding dresses from GULI. They also received furniture, electronics and golden rings. Boys received various gifts such as bicycles, toys, sport costumes, etc.

The project in Tashkent region was supported by large number of farms, companies, banks, state and private companies.

Popular singgers Zulayho Boyhonova, Abdushohim Ismailov, Dilsuz, Manzura, Sato and Munisa Rizaeva participated at the event and presented their works.
