Programme on development of Russian university discussed in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Management of Uzbekneftegaz met with delegation of the Russian State University of oil and gas named after Gubkin led by its rector Viktor Martynov and Lukoil Vice-President Valeriy Subbotin.

The press service of Uzbekneftegaz said that the sides discussed a programme on further development of branch of the Russian State University of oil and gas named after Gubkin in Tashkent.

Uzbekneftegaz and Lukoil pin large hopes to development of the university in training specialists for oil and gas sector of Uzbekistan.

The sides discussed introduction of new specialties at the university based on needs of the industry for near future. The sides considered opportunities on organization of various training for existing specialists.

The sides adopted decision on opening educational base at the university, which will be equipped with technologies used in oil and gas industry. The sides also vowed to expand scientific work of the branch.

Uzbekneftegaz representatives briefed the guest on course of work of construction of academic lyceum under the branch of the Russian university. The lyceum will be launched in September 2012. The work on reconstruction of dormitory is underway as well.

After the talks, the sides approved a complex plan on development of the branch.
