Pravda Vostoka newspaper reported that implementation of the programme will help to preserve and rationally use cultural heritage objects and help to develop city’s historic-architectural, social-cultural and tourism potentials, as well as create favourable conditions for population.

According to preliminary calculations, over 800 billion soums will be directed to implementation of the programme till the end of 2018.

Ravshan Qodirov, head of the state inspection on protection and use of cultural heritage objects, some 14.3 billion soums will be directed to restoration of 20 historic-cultural heritage within the programme till the end of 2016.

He said that 1.2 billion soums of these funds will be directed to restoration of Abdushukur Ogalik madrasah. The reconstruction works on this object already started.

He said that it is planned to create shops and galleries of craftsmen here. It is also planned to reconstruct Koba caravan-serai, build fountains, etc.

It is also planned to construct new roads, gas and water pipelines, plant trees and flowers, reconstruct sewage system, telecommunication infrastructure, heating system, etc. In next three years, it is planned to direct 117 billion soums to develop engineering communication of the city.

Over 10.5 billion soums will be directed to reconstruction and construction of buses and leasing 95 ISUZU buses. It is also planned to reconstruct automobile roads.
