Products of Uzbekistan to be exported without unnecessary barriers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the thirty-sixth plenary session of the Senate, the Law on Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies was discussed.

It was noted that this Law will ensure high efficiency in bringing the accreditation system in line with international requirements for assessing the conformity of the activities of assessment bodies based on international standards.

In particular, the Law serves to bring the national accreditation system of our country in line with international requirements, promotes the participation of accreditation bodies as full members in the activities of the International Organization for Laboratory Accreditation (ILAC) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).

The law defines the goals of accreditation, the main directions of state policy in the field of accreditation, state regulation in the field of accreditation, the National accreditation system and the procedure for implementing accreditation.

The main objectives of accreditation are to ensure the confidence of stakeholders in the activities of accredited entities, ensure the implementation of a unified technical policy in the field of conformity assessment, create conditions for recognition and acceptance at the international level of the results of the activities of accredited entities.

In addition, in accordance with the Law, the National Accreditation System is being created, the procedure for implementing accreditation, the procedure for suspending, restoring and terminating it is being strengthened, and it is also established that in the event of termination of accreditation, its effect is not subject to restoration. At the same time, re-accreditation is carried out on condition that the accredited subject submits an application before the expiration of the accreditation, taking into account the results of its previous activities.

At the same time, the Law supports entrepreneurial activity and creates an opportunity to improve the national quality infrastructure in our republic, as well as for unhindered access to export markets for products manufactured under the “Made in Uzbekistan” sign.

The adoption of this Law will create a foundation for ensuring the production of quality products by business entities of our country and increasing export volumes.

The law was approved by the senators.
