Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2019, the Nike transnational company officially granted permission for the production of sports shoes in Uzbekistan under its own brand. Based on the special strategy developed by the Uzcharmsanoat Association to attract the American brand to Uzbekistan, our country was included in the number of manufacturers of the Nike family.

To launch the production line, Sino International has fully implemented all international quality standards required by Nike within 5 years. In particular, certain production lines have been created, decent working conditions for employees and high quality control have been organized. The first batch of sneakers of the world-famous brand has already left the conveyors of the enterprise.

Today Sino International employs 50 people. Lines for molding the soles and uppers of sports shoes have been launched. The skills of Uzbek specialists are improved by technologists, designers and tailors from the Chinese branch of Nike. At the moment, the company produces 6,000 pairs of sneakers per day. By the end of the year, the capacity of the enterprise is planned to double.

Why Uzbekistan?

Why did the Chinese branch of the company choose Uzbekistan to produce original Nike sneakers? The head of Sino International, Hongxuan, comments:

“Five years ago we came to study the business environment of Uzbekistan and implement our projects. Considering the conditions created here for investors and the benefits provided, we set a goal to implement several projects. One of them was our project in the leather and footwear industry. Having studied the market, we decided to attract international brands to Uzbekistan. We contacted the Nike branch in China. They made their demands. After that, we started implementing these requirements together with the Uzcharmsanoat Association. We started the project in 2019. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there was a disruption in the supply of equipment. The arrival of Nike technologists was also delayed. After the pandemic, we have resumed work. As you can see, Uzbekistan now produces and ships Nike sneakers to the international market. We currently produce 6,000 pairs per day, and in the future we plan to increase the annual capacity to 3 million. In this regard, work is being coordinated to improve production processes in accordance with the requirements of the brand.”

According to Nike’s strategy, sneakers produced in Uzbekistan will be sent to the markets of Central Asia, Pakistan, and later Europe.

Nike provides an official barcode for each athletic shoe manufacturing country. Uzbekistan has also received this barcode. This means that the enterprise in Andijan has the right to produce all models of sneakers of the world brand.

Fakhriddin Boboev, chairman of the association, noted: “Attracting world brands to the industry is one of the priority tasks set by the head of our state, and today the first Nike products developed at this enterprise are a great pride for us, opening the doors of great opportunities for establishing cooperation with others. global brands."

Products manufactured by Sino International are already supplied to the markets of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.

From next year, the famous red boxes will be sent to Pakistan. Sino International aims to master the production of products under the Adidas brand, work in this direction has already begun.
