Product Prices in Tashkent: What has become cheaper and what has increased in October?

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Experts from the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies (IMRI) conducted an analysis of prices for 21 products in the largest supermarkets in Tashkent.

The monitoring results showed that minimum prices decreased for nine items compared to the previous month. Specifically, prices for carrots decreased by 22.0%, cucumbers by 12.0%, bananas by 9.8%, buckwheat by 7.8%, tomatoes by 6.3%, beef (fillet) by 5.9%, sugar by 1.6%, sunflower oil by 1.4%, and chicken eggs by 1.1%.

Meanwhile, minimum prices increased for five items. The leading price increase was observed for rice, attributed to market factors, changes in supply and demand.

For seven items, minimum prices remained stable, including pasta, cabbage, beets, yellow onions, apples, lemons, and margarine.
