Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The prize fund of the International Fashion Week, Silk Uzbekistan Fashion Week, has been reduced from US$2 million to US$1 million.

A corresponding resolution was signed by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It is worth recalling that the initiative to hold this event was announced by President Mirziyoyev in January 2024.

Leading global fashion houses will participate in Silk Uzbekistan Fashion Week, competing in the creation of garments made from Uzbek silk.

The event is expected to become a regular occurrence and will be held biennially in May.
