Private entities, who installed radars, to receive lower portion of fines

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan has proposed to reduce the interest on fines for private entities, who have installed road radars.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has submitted the relevant draft law for discussion.

If the khokimiyat installed a special automated software and technical system of photo and video recording, the fines will be distributed as follows:

30% — to the local budget of the district (city).

The funds will be directed to the digitalization of traffic, the development of road infrastructure, the introduction of additional staff of the road patrol service.

50% — to the republican budget of Uzbekistan;

10% — to the extra-budgetary fund of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;

5% — to the Fund for the Development of the material and technical base, stimulation and encouragement of employees of the Traffic Safety Service;

5% — to the state unitary enterprise "Cybersecurity Center".

If the system is installed by private entities (based on PPP), the fines will be distributed as follows:

30% — to the local budget of the district (city);

25% — to the account of investors attracted on the basis of PPP. Now this percentage is 50%.

20% — to the republican budget of Uzbekistan;

10% — to the extra-budgetary fund of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;

10% — to the Fund for the Development of the material and technical base, stimulation and encouragement of employees of the Traffic Safety Service;

5% — to the state unitary enterprise "Cybersecurity Center".
