Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation led by Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili is in Uzbekistan.

On 8 April, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov met with the Georgian delegation in the building of the Cabinet of Ministers.

At the meeting, it was noted that relations between the two countries are rapidly developing on the basis of the principles of long-term friendship and mutual respect, and there are all the prerequisites for further strengthening interaction.

The parties discussed the need to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, including trade, economic, investment, transport and logistics, tourism, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Particular attention was paid to the work of the Intergovernmental Commission, and it was emphasized that it was necessary to enrich the agenda of its next meeting with projects that would be equally beneficial for both parties.
