Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 March, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with a delegation of the Government of Uzbekistan led by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov in Dushanbe.

The head of Tajikistan emphasized the importance of the visit of the Uzbek delegation to determine the prospects for cooperation and expressed satisfaction with the rapid development of friendly relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the leader of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was noted that an open and trusting dialogue between heads of state contributes to strengthening good neighborliness, strategic partnership and allied relations.

It was also emphasized that the adoption of the Declaration on Strengthening Eternal Friendship and Alliance, as well as other important agreements at a high-level meeting in Uzbekistan in June 2022, is fully consistent with the interests of the peoples of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to the need to ensure the implementation of the set tasks for the consistent implementation of new projects in the trade, economic, investment, energy, transport and logistics, agricultural and other spheres.
