Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 April, 2024, Uzbekistan plans to increase prices for certain types of fuel due to an increase in excise tax, Uzbekneftegaz said in a statement.

According to the company, the excise tax on AI-80 gasoline will increase from 303,000 to 340,000 soums per 1 ton

The excise tax on aviation kerosene (except for synthetic fuel) will increase to 271,000 soums from the current 242,000 soums.

The excise tax on diesel fuel (except for synthetic fuel) will increase by 35,000 soums to 326,000 soums, and on ECO diesel fuel - by 31,000 soums to 293,000 soums.

Uzbekneftegaz also announced an increase in excise tax on the sale of petroleum products and liquefied gas to the end consumer.

This excise tax on AI-80 gasoline will be 633,000 soums per ton (increase by 68,000 soums), and on diesel fuel (except for synthetic fuel) - 578,000 soums (increase by 68,000 soums).

The excise tax on liquefied gas will also increase from 807,500 to 904,000 soums per ton (an increase of 96,500 soums).

In this regard, the initial sales prices of petroleum products and liquefied gas of Uzbekneftegaz JSC on the exchange will be changed from 1 April, taking into account the new excise tax rates.
