President Islam Karimov congratulated his Turkmen counterpart with his 55th birthday and wished strong health, happiness and success in his works directed at reforming Turkmenistan.

Expressing gratitude, Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov said Turkmenistan is interested in expanding constructive partnership with Uzbekistan, including within international organizations.

During the telephone conversations, Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan highly rated bilateral cooperation and discussed opportunities on boosting relations in several perspective directions. They noted that the sides should implement joint projects, which would serve for prosperity of two nations.

Speaking about regional cooperation, two leaders said it is necessary to develop coordinated and agreed approach on existing problems, including within international organizations and structures.

Turkmen President Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov invited the Uzbek President Islam Karimov to visit Turkmenistan. Uzbek leader accepted and the sides agreed to set dates of visit via diplomatic channels.
