Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Issues of further developing practical interaction between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were discussed during a telephone conversation between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, held on 24 July.

The President of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, sincerely wishing health, great success, well-being, and prosperity to the fraternal people of Uzbekistan.

The primary attention was paid to the issues of increasing the trade turnover and promoting cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy, including industry, energy, agriculture, transport, and other essential areas.

The first results of joint work on creating the Shavat-Dashaguz Border Free Trade Zone were emphasized with great satisfaction.
