Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 October, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.

The Uzbek leader warmly congratulated President Rahmon on his birthday, wishing him good health, continued success, and prosperity for the brotherly people of Tajikistan.

During the conversation, the presidents discussed current bilateral relations, focusing on the implementation of previously agreed decisions at the highest level.

They emphasized the importance of continuing close cooperation between various government agencies and actively exchanging expertise to increase trade volumes and advance joint projects in sectors such as industry, energy, agriculture, and other key areas.

The leaders also exchanged views on the current regional situation.
