Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership and Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
At the outset of the conversation, the President of Uzbekistan warmly congratulated the President and the people of the Russian Federation on the upcoming national holiday — Russia Day — and wished peace, prosperity, and continued success.
The two leaders discussed current issues related to the further strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Russia, with a particular focus on the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
Special attention was given to coordinating joint efforts aimed at maintaining stable growth in bilateral trade and actively advancing projects in industrial cooperation.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing active exchanges and expanding practical collaboration at the regional level, which contributes to deeper interregional ties and the development of cooperative formats.
They also expressed mutual satisfaction with the outcomes of cultural cooperation, highlighting the large-scale and meaningful events regularly held in both Uzbekistan and Russia that help foster friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two nations.
