Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 May, a meeting was held in Moscow between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

The head of Uzbekistan is in Russia on a working visit.

At the meeting, issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Russian relations as a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance, including the development of trade and economic cooperation, were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to increasing bilateral trade and supplies of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to Russia, according to the Kremlin press service.
