Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 21 February, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation.

The two leaders discussed key issues related to the further development of Uzbek-Russian relations within the framework of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.

They reviewed the implementation of agreements reached during President Putin’s state visit to Uzbekistan in May last year, in line with the approved "roadmap."

Both sides praised the active cooperation at various levels, with a particular focus on strengthening trade, economic, and investment ties, as well as supporting joint industrial cooperation projects at the regional level.

The leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics of humanitarian cooperation, which encompasses culture, arts, science, education—including the training of engineering specialists—healthcare, and sports.

Additionally, the presidents exchanged views on pressing international issues and discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral events.
