Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 December, as part of a working visit to the UAE, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.
Current issues of further developing traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Mongolia were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the high-level agreements reached at the meeting in Samarkand in September last year.
The positive dynamics in mutual trade were noted with satisfaction. There are ample opportunities and potential for cooperation in livestock farming, food, leather, agriculture, textiles, and other industries.
Interest was expressed in improving the legal framework in road and air transport, tourist exchange, and strengthening interregional and cultural-humanitarian ties.
It was agreed to hold the first meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Committee and the Business Council next year.
It was agreed that an action plan for further enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation will be adopted following the meeting.
