Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will visit Uzbekistan on 5 April.

During the negotiations, which will take place in the ancient city of Khiva, current issues of further strengthening Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance, as well as expanding multifaceted cooperation, will be discussed.

Particular attention will be paid to increasing the volume of mutual trade turnover, developing cooperative ties in key sectors of the economy, practical implementation of infrastructure projects in the field of transport and energy, and intensifying humanitarian exchange programs.

The heads of state will also discuss issues on the regional agenda.
