Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the official visit program, the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko visited the Humo Arena ice palace in the city of Tashkent.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met the Belarusian leader at the sports complex.

The meeting at the ice palace has a deep symbolic meaning. Alexander Lukashenko is a big hockey fan, pays special attention to the development of this sport in Belarus, and has personally participated in hockey matches more than once.

Uzbekistan is also doing a lot of work to develop winter sports, including hockey. In 2019, on the initiative of the head of our state, the multifunctional sports complex “Humo Arena” was built. The Tashkent team “Humo” successfully performs in international and continental tournaments, including playing with the “Neman” club from the Belarusian Grodno.

During the visit, the Presidents watched a match between hockey teams – Tashkent “Humo” and “Nomad” from Astana. At the end of the meeting, the distinguished guests were presented with a personalized hockey uniform.
