Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, along with their spouses, attended a joint concert featuring artists from both countries.

The Uzbek and Azerbaijani peoples share a common history, religion, and similarities in culture and traditions.

Thanks to the efforts and aspirations of the heads of state, intergovernmental relations between our nations have strengthened to the level of alliance.

In Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, there is deep respect and affection for each other’s cultural achievements. By the decision of the Presidents, legendary artists Farukh Zakirov and Polad Bulbul oglu have been honored with the title of People’s Artists.

The joint concert was a vivid manifestation of the centuries-old friendship and the mutual blending of traditions and values of the Uzbek and Azerbaijani peoples.

The songs and music performed by the talented artists reflected the richness, diversity, as well as the commonality and uniqueness of our cultures.
