Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Khastim mahalla in Almazar district of Tashkent.

More than 1,500 people live in the mahalla. Most of the families are engaged in handicraft and trade.

The head of state got acquainted with the conditions in the houses, talked with the residents. Representatives of the older generation spoke about life in the mahalla, read a dua about peace and tranquility in our country, the well-being of our people.

As you know, in all regions of our country, the programs "Comfortable mahalla", "Comfortable village" are being implemented, within the framework of which roads and engineering networks are being updated. And in this mahalla, it is planned to improve the infrastructure on the basis of the “Comfortable Home” program.

“Our goal and duty is to create worthy conditions for every person,” the President said.

The head of state toured the handicraft workshop and a small exhibition organized in the mahalla. Responsible persons were instructed to expand self-employment of the population, organize points of trade and services for tourists.
