Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will hold the traditional meeting with representatives of the country’s business community in an open dialogue format and will present state awards to a number of entrepreneurs.

According to the President’s press secretary, Sherzod Asadov, the first such dialogue took place on August 20, 2021, when the President proposed holding these meetings annually and established August 20 as Entrepreneurs’ Day. Since then, this initiative has become an important platform for discussing pressing business issues and developing solutions in close cooperation with entrepreneurs, clearly demonstrating the President’s special attention to promoting entrepreneurial initiative.

Over the past period, around one thousand proposals and initiatives voiced during the dialogues have been reflected in laws and regulations. In preparation for the current meeting, consultations were held with nearly 7,000 representatives from 26 sectors of the economy, and more than 13,000 appeals and ideas were received via the call center.

It is expected that following today’s dialogue, the President will announce a number of new measures based on the submitted proposals, aimed at further improving the conditions for doing business in the country.
