Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, expressing dissatisfaction with the low efficiency of employment of the population, ordered the dismissal of 123 deputy khokims.

Mirziyoyev noted that last year, only 70% of the plan for creating jobs in 16 regions and cities of the country was fulfilled.

Criticism has also been leveled at employment services for frivolously providing benefits to citizens.

Assistant khokims in 319 mahallas have not achieved success in involving the population in business, increasing employment and reducing poverty.

In particular, the poor performance of 123 deputy khokims was noted, including the deputy khokims of Sharaf Rashidov, Pastdargom, Angora districts, as well as Andijan and Termez.

The President instructed to dismiss these deputies and replace them with more experienced specialists.
