Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with a delegation from the State of Qatar, led by Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmad al-Kuwari, who arrived to participate in the meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

During the meeting, Ali bin Ahmad al-Kuwari conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan from the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The discussions focused on the prospects for further strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the trade and economic sphere. The importance of promoting joint projects in key areas such as green energy, transportation, healthcare, tourism, and infrastructure development was emphasized.

Special attention was given to upcoming events, including a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and a joint business forum, which will be held in Doha at the end of the year.

The parties also noted the importance of enhancing cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two countries.
