Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded the “Order of the Turkish Republic,” Türkiye’s highest state award.

The award ceremony took place in Ankara, where Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan presented the award to his Uzbek counterpart.

The President of Uzbekistan noted that it was a great honor for him to receive such a high award from the Republic of Türkiye. He noted that the award symbolizes the thousand-year-old fraternal ties between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Türkiye, confidential dialogue at the highest level and rapidly developing multifaceted bilateral relations.

It should be noted that the “Order of the Turkish Republic” is awarded to government officials who have made a significant contribution to the development of friendly relations with Türkiye.
