Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 June 2024, as part of an official visit to Ankara, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TAI).

The President of Uzbekistan was presented with samples of the company’s products, the production process and the results of scientific cooperation with foreign countries. Founded in 1984, the company is Turkey’s leading center for the design, development, modernization, production and integration of aerospace systems, including fixed and rotary wing air platforms, unmanned aerial vehicles and satellites.

In 2023, Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. entered the list of the 100 largest defense companies in the world, with annual revenues of approximately US$1.5 billion. The company employs more than 15 thousand people, including about 7 thousand engineers and over 6.5 thousand technicians and other employees.

During the visit, President Mirziyoyev was also introduced to the activities of other Turkish defense industry enterprises, specializing in the development and production of a wide range of weapons and military equipment.

In addition, aviation demonstration flights took place, where the President of Uzbekistan could personally observe the capabilities and achievements of the Turkish aerospace industry.
