Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a specialized exhibition of innovations and technologies, which opened in Tehran.

The head of state was accompanied by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and other officials.

The exhibition presented products of large research and production companies of Iran in the field of high technologies and innovations, mechanical engineering, instrumentation, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, modern building materials, textile industry.

The leader of Uzbekistan examined their exhibition stands. Representatives of the Iranian industry demonstrated their latest developments in the production of various turbines, medicines and their ingredients, medical equipment, oil catalysts and artificial textiles.

The head of our state talked with the heads of companies, got acquainted with the presentations of new technologies. Following the visit to the exhibition, responsible persons of the Uzbek side were instructed to explore the possibilities of creating joint ventures for the production of products with high added value, implementing pilot projects to introduce Iranian technologies and innovative solutions in Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that the opening of a branch of the Iranian House of Innovation and Technology (IHIT) took place in Tashkent. Its activities will contribute to the development of mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the field of innovative technologies and the transfer of scientific developments.
