President of Uzbekistan visited Khanabad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the city of Khanabad (Andijan region) to get acquainted with the life of the population.

In the city, which is the easternmost in the country, thanks to the good neighbor policy and changes in recent years, the economy has improved and the standard of living of the population has increased.

The head of state talked with representatives of the Yangi Hayot mahalla and received information about the socio-economic development of the region.

The President also inspected various facilities, including preschool institutions, schools, colleges, guest houses, shops, hairdressers and service centers.

Based on the results of the visit, the President expressed hope that “Yangi Hayot” will become an example for other regions of Uzbekistan in the development of the mahalla system as the primary link in society.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the house of Salokhiddin Usmonov in the Yangi Hayot mahalla in the city of Khanabad.

The Usmonov family has two children and their home is equipped with modern amenities such as solar panels and an energy-efficient heating system.

The house also has guest rooms, which are used as part of the developing tourist destination in Khanabad.

The family is also involved in agriculture, including growing mushrooms.

The President praised the entrepreneurial spirit of the hosts and emphasized the importance of applying their experience elsewhere.

- Each mahalla has its own capabilities, traditions, and aspirations of people. If the mahalla association and representatives of the economic complex identify and support them, the population can be occupied and a source of income can be created. Therefore, we pay attention to the development of regions in mahallas, bringing all responsible leaders down,” the President said.
