Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the United States of America next week. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state Sherzod Asadov.

According to Asadov, the head of state will make a speech at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly as part of his visit to the United States.

The President will familiarize the international community not only with the reform process in our country, the results achieved in the field of human rights, socio-political modernization, but will also put forward a number of important initiatives of both regional and global significance.

In addition, as part of the visit, the President of Uzbekistan will take part in a meeting of leaders of the United States and Central Asian countries in the C5+1 format. The meeting is held at the initiative of the President of the United States.
