Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, will pay a state visit to this country on 18-19 April.

In accordance with the program of the stay in Dushanbe, negotiations at the highest level are envisaged, as well as a number of bilateral meetings and joint events.

The agenda includes issues of further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance.

Particular attention will be paid to promoting cooperation projects in the field of trade, industry, agriculture, energy, transport and other sectors, issues of expanding interregional contacts, cultural, humanitarian and tourist exchange will be considered.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will also exchange views on current international and regional issues.

As a result of the summit, it is planned to adopt a solid package of bilateral documents.
