Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 19 to 22 May, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will undertake official visits to Hungary and the Republic of Slovenia.

The visit to Hungary will take place at the invitation of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. On 19 May, the Uzbek head of state will arrive in Budapest, where high-level negotiations are scheduled, along with meetings with representatives of official circles and leaders of major Hungarian companies.

The focus will be on deepening practical cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Hungary.

On 21 May, President Mirziyoyev will participate in an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in the Hungarian capital.

On 22 May, the visit will continue in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. During his stay, negotiations are planned with the President of the Republic, Nataša Pirc Musar, as well as meetings with the leadership of the parliament and government. The President of Uzbekistan will also take part in joint business events.

Special attention will be given to expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, implementing joint projects in pharmaceuticals, industry, food and textile sectors, addressing labor migration issues, and strengthening humanitarian ties.
