President of Uzbekistan to visit France
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to France from 11 to 13 March.
During his stay in Paris, high-level talks are scheduled, along with meetings with representatives of France’s political and business circles.
The discussions will focus on strengthening Uzbekistan-France multifaceted cooperation, with an emphasis on expanding trade, economic, and investment partnerships, as well as fostering joint projects with leading French companies.
Following the summit, several intergovernmental and interagency agreements are expected to be signed.
Additionally, President Mirziyoyev will meet with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay to discuss preparations for the 43rd General Conference of UNESCO, set to take place in Samarkand this autumn.
In the lead-up to the visit, significant events highlighting Uzbek-French collaboration have already taken place.
On 1 March, a ceremony was held in Gretz-Armainvilliers at the Uranoscope Observatory to unveil a bust of the renowned scholar Abu Rayhan Beruni.
Furthermore, forums and conferences on healthcare, science, education, culture, tourism, and business have been organized in Paris, with additional business events planned in Toulouse, Lyon, and Nice.
