Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will go on an official visit to Türkiye on 6 June at the invitation of the President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

During the visit, the third meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council will be held in Ankara, chaired by the presidents of the two countries. The discussion will be devoted to issues of further development and strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

The heads of state will consider opportunities to expand practical interaction, including increasing trade turnover, implementing joint projects in such areas as industry, green energy, electrical engineering, textile and pharmaceutical industries, the agricultural sector and other areas, including within the framework of the public-private partnership program. partnerships.

Issues of continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchange and exchange of views on current aspects of international politics will also be considered.

Following the results of the high-level negotiations, it is planned to sign a number of bilateral documents.

In addition, the presidents of Uzbekistan and Türkiye will hold the first joint meeting with the heads of leading enterprises and companies of both countries.
