Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the first "Central Asia – European Union" summit, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his position on the peaceful resolution of the situation regarding Ukraine.

The head of state emphasized that Uzbekistan welcomes and fully supports the start of the negotiation process.

"We understand that very complex and challenging issues need to be resolved. However, we see no alternative to the diplomatic efforts and political solution being pursued," Shavkat Mirziyoyev added.
