Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 November, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Khusrav Noziri.

Issues of further developing practical interaction within the framework of the organization and increasing the efficiency of the activities of this multilateral structure were considered.

The President of Uzbekistan noted the great potential for enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation, primarily through implementing joint projects and programs in trade, transport, investment, innovation, ecology, and tourism.

The Secretary General expressed sincere gratitude for the active participation of Uzbekistan in the ECO activities and the high-level preparation of the ECO Summit, which will be held for the first time in the city of Tashkent under the motto “Together for economic stability and development”.

The consistent implementation of Uzbekistan’s initiatives during the Ashgabat Summit in 2021 was noted with deep satisfaction.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on the agenda of the upcoming Tashkent meeting of the leaders of the ECO states.
