Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Issues of further development of full-scale cooperation, implementation of large investment projects with the participation of leading Emirati companies were discussed during a telephone conversation between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansur Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Mansur Al-Nahyan cordially congratulated the head of Uzbekistan on his convincing victory in the last elections, sincerely wishing well-being and prosperity to the Uzbek people.

He also conveyed congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the UAE President Sheikh Muhammad Al Nahyan.

Topical issues on the bilateral agenda were considered. The high dynamics of growth in trade turnover, the increase in the number of joint ventures and flights between the two countries were noted with satisfaction.

Currently, the portfolio of investment projects exceeds US$4 billion and covers such areas as green energy, agriculture, transport and logistics, tourism infrastructure and other industries.

The Emirates side also provides technical assistance in the implementation of socially significant programs in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the importance of continuing an active dialogue at the highest level, promoting major projects of trade, economic, investment, financial and humanitarian cooperation was especially noted.
