President of Uzbekistan Meets U.S. Deputy Secretary of State

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of his working program during his visit to New York, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau.

During the discussion, the parties explored prospects for further strengthening the Uzbek-American strategic partnership in the context of implementing agreements reached during a phone conversation between the two countries’ presidents on September 5 of this year.

Particular attention was given to intensifying contacts at all levels and jointly advancing cooperation projects with leading American companies and financial institutions.
