Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, left on a working visit to the city of Baku to participate in the summit of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA).

As part of the visit, the head of Uzbekistan will take part in the first summit of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) in Baku.

Summit participants will discuss issues of further expanding multilateral cooperation within the program, creating a Trust Fund to support regional projects, adopting a road map for the digitalization of transport corridors, as well as promoting business initiatives.

The SPECA program, established in 1998, aims to promote the development of economic cooperation and integration of the countries of the region (Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan) into the world economy.
